The Hotel Elefant is located in the middle of the historic Old Town of Salzburg.
For a more quiet stay, the pedestrian zone is controlled by traffic bollards, but hotel drive-in to unload is possible any time.

Public transportation
From the Salzburg main TRAIN STATION take a taxi (approx. 10 min.) or bus # 3, 5, 6 or 25 until exit “Rathaus” (first stop after crossing the bridge).
We are situated on the backside of the building at the bus stop.
From the AIRPORT you can take a taxi (approx. 15 min.) or public bus # 10 to the center until stop “Hanusch Platz”.
Arrival by car
Parking is available for a special hotel rate in “Altstadtgarage B”, inside the “Mönchsberg”. The entrance is at “Hildmannplatz 1”.
If you are traveling with light luggage, we recommend to park the car first and then walk to the hotel. Via exit “Toscaninihof”, it is about 5 minutes walking distance.
If you want to drive to the hotel to unload, you have to drive to the “Staatsbrücke”, the main bridge in the center of Salzburg. After crossing the bridge you drive straight ahead into the archway to the pedestrian zone.
If you should arrive from the “Franz Josef Kai” / “Hanusch Platz” side, after the traffic light before the bridge turn sharply to the right into the archway and stop in front of the bollard.
Under the arch, on the left wall, you have to enter the drive-in code from the hotel to lower the bollards. Don’t follow a car in front of you, use your own code!
If you do not have a code, there is an intercom button to call the hotel.
After lowering the bollard, drive straight on, next left and right into the “Sigmund
Haffner Gasse ”. You are at our hotel now, where you can stop to unload.
